Professional Teacher Education Unit

Why Is Mathematics Education Unique
and Special at Kennesaw State University?

  • The Mathematics Education Program is in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics
    in the College of Science and Mathematics at KSU. 
  • Collaboration within our department and with the Bagwell College of Education is
    a strength of our program.
  • KSU graduates mathematicians that are well prepared to become excellent teachers.
  • Our graduates are in demand throughout the state.
  • KSU is the #2 (and sometimes #1) producer of secondary mathematics teachers
    in the state of Georgia.
  • The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics has recognized the
    KSU Mathematics Education Program as
    "Achieving National Excellence!"
  • The KSU Mathematics Education faculty has an international, national, and
    statewide reputation.
